MASTER’S IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Master’s in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate program aimed at mechanical, industrial, civil, electrical, mechatronics and other engineers, as well as professionals in as physics, chemistry and related fields. The objective of this program is to train professionals in the use of modern tools and research methods, analysis, synthesis and design, enabling them to lead research and development projects, in the industrial and scientific fields.

  OUR HISTORY AND GRADUATES

The University of Los Andes offers the master’s degree program in mechanical engineering since 1969. The program has been adapted to the needs and development of today’s society. More than 400 professionals have acquired the master of mechanical engineering title from the University of Los Andes.

Program graduates are prepared to lead projects and innovation and development areas in local and global organizations, continue doctoral studies in the best universities in the world, and work as university professors.

  THE BEST OPPORTUNITIES

PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS

Our students participate in academic and scientific meetings inside and outside the country, broadening their vision of engineering, having a relationship with leaders in research areas and acquiring experience in scenarios outside the university.

SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS RECOGNIZED WORLDWIDE

Many of the research results developed by our master’s degree students have been published in specialized journals that are indexed in databases such as ISI or SCOPUS. This has generated worldwide recognition among the academic community.

ACADEMIC EXCHANGE AND INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS

The academic and research exchange is one of the main advantages of our master’s program. Several of the students who have been part of these programs, have completed their internship in companies such as Toyota or Bosch; or their academic exchange in Stuggart (Germany), Graz (Austria), Cranfield (England) among others.

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL

Master’s in mechanical engineering offers courses taught by renowned international professors during the May-July period, expanding the specialized courses offer in research areas with contemporary topics and global interest. In recent years, we have had the presence of 19 international professors who have taught courses in the master’s degree.
