Characterization of Erosion Wear through Modeling of Particle Laden Flows using Spectral Element Methods

The purpose of this research is to assess the influence of the higher resolution of spectral element methods on the prediction of erosion wear rate and distribution. To use high-order methods to model erosion wear, it is necessary to implement specific techniques for particle tracking and erosion rate evaluation, which represents an additional challenge to this research.
